Morning Thought (My Children and Reading

Instead of spending my time watching facebook every five minutes, or if I'm not spending time with my children, I spend my time reading.  I remember the first book that really peaked my interest, I was in the 7th grade, it was book written by V.C Andrews "Flowers in The Attic" I know what most are probably thinking I was too young to read this book, thats if you have heard of V.C Andrews. However this was the book that started me on my reading journey, I have read countless boosk over the years, and my love for reading has never changed, although I have expand my horizons, for a few years after becoming engulfed, with reading, for awhile there  I only read V.C Andrews books.  I don't know but they had a way of keeping you coming back for more.  But now I do read an excessive amount of urban fiction, but I also love Stephen King, John Grisam, and a few Danielle Steel books, personally I think she makes better books than movies, but hey the books are always better right!  But anyway I look at my children and two caught the reading bug like me is my daughter, Tamira, and my youngest son Tyree they both love to read however it was like pulling teeth with my oldest son Taijere.  So I found a way to keep him interested, I find books that pertain to his interest, he loves wrestling so I buy him books not so much about the matches but about the lives of stars themselves, and so far its working, he is slowly but shorely starting to take inerest in other books, mostly nature books that talk about bugs, and things like that something that I don't particular care for but hey atleast he is doing something besides playing video games.
So as parents sometimes we have to make compromises, and so far allowing him to read certain things that he is into has worked for me.

What are some things that you have tried?
